Arachnophobia

I found a dead brown recluse in The Baby's room today. The Baby doesn't actually sleep in her room, but where there is a dead spider there are sure to be live ones. Icky. I suspected we had them around -- this is, afterall, an old house in the South -- but I don't exactly like seeing proof. Growing up in Arizona, we always had to watch out for black widows and after our neighbors trimmed their palm tree we had a scorpion invasion. The black widows never seemed to be much of a problem, we usually found them outside, but my little brother spent several nights in the ICU after a scorpion sting. I hate arachnids.

Blech!! This gives me the creeps. We've had many scorpions in our house and I've seen a number of black widows in the garage and around the outside of the house. ICK!!!!!! I hope you don't have any more. Maybe that one snuck in alone!

I have zero tolerance for spiders in my house after one of the kids got bitten. I'm always squishing them.

Despite being a total cheapskate, if I found one of those in my house I'd be paying lotsa money to the first exterminator who suggested he might be able to rid the house of such. That is terrifying!!!

Lenise, that is my reaction, too.

Lyman has a scar on his upper cheek not far from his temple from a recluse bite in his sleep. He was grown when it happened.

I've always used that big jug of stuff from Home Depot (Ortho) but I prefer the plain old can of RAID. We have issues with roaches...those big ugly ones. I can spray around the perimeter of a room once a month and it continues to work. Might do for you and those disgusting spiders too.

It doesn't stink either. Most sprays remind me of a diesel truck smell.

And btw, you look quite fetching down below in your red dress!

Eww, eww, eww. I loathe spiders. As my father likes to quote an old cartoon: "It's practically impossible to bite 'em back." As a Southern girl myself (GA-bred), I've had to deal both with scorpions and with black widows, but not yet brown recluses. Hope you manage to get all of them!
