A Very Bad Combination

Since my current favorite pair of jeans seems to have developed a large-ish whole and they were getting a little loose anyway, I went to Goodwill this morning to see if I could find a new pair.

Although my Goodwill claims to have things organized by size, you really have to look through everything to find what you are looking for. There always a few size 2 pairs of jeans wedged next to size 18 jeans. I dug through everything in the process saw a combination of words that should never appear on a tag together "low cut waist" and "size 18". The phrase "low cut waist" probably shouldn't be on anything, but if they must be made, they should not be sold over size 4. It's just not right.

Our Goodwill arranges clothes based on COLOR..???

It is very pretty but not very practical!

They also write on some items with a Sharpie marker.
Sometimes the price is in a visible location on say, a vase.
Why would I buy a vase with a 2- in permanent marker?

Goodwill here is like the Macy's of thrift stores. The others get the worst stuff, Goodwill has all the name brand things.

My Goodwill actually tries to arrange things by size and color. They don't write on things here, but I had a nice purse I got at some thrift shop with a price written in permanent marker on the inside flap.

There are a ton of thrift shops in Nashville, but I pretty much only ever go to Goodwill for both thrift shopping and donating.

Actually, I wear low cut waist jeans and I'm a size 12/14. I've been told by several men that I look very sexy in said jeans... I guess it just depends on your body type, not just your size. :-)

It is a sad life when a comment could tempt one to snarkiness. *slinking away...*

Oops. I mean to ask: did you find good jeans?

I think so, Patricia, but I find that I need to wear jeans for a while to figure out if I really like them. Which is why I prefer to shop for mine where I can get them for $7.50 or less.

The sad thing is that those size 18 low rise jeans were once worn by a size eighteener at least once.
