The Rest of the Story

Sorry to leave everyone hanging out waiting for information. The kids and I went out this morning to eat pancakes and then on to play at a friend's house.

We're back and now for more information. The youngest Adams is expected to arrive around the middle of October or a bit later. I already have September, November and December babies, so I suppose, although not generally so orderly or tidy, this does fill in the set quite nicely.

Was I surprised? Not entirely. I have some vague notion of how these things happen and therefore it wasn't a shock, but I can't say we were planning on it at this point either. We take kids when they decide to show up, ready or not.

We told the children last night. Both the bigger ones are excited. The Boy is hoping for a brother. The Middle Girl wants another sister. One will be disappointed and the other will be very happy. The Boy has already started dropping the news into conversation. We couldn't tell them until we were ready for the world at large to know.

And as for me? I feel fine. I'm one of the fortunate women, hate me if you must, who doesn't get sick at all. I do tend to swell up like a balloon at the end though, which isn't as bad, but isn't so great either.

We take kids when they decide to show up, ready or not.

...which is something I love about you, Jordana. :-)

Oh, Jordana...thank you for sharing such wonderful news! I have Nov, Dec, Jan and June babies -- my youngest is a rebel from the start -- and I hope that your record of "non-sickness" sticks this time, too!

Welcome to the power of four!

I just have to come back and tell you just how thrilled I am for all of you! How wonderful, you are a wonderful mom (at least you are the one, other than my own, that I primarily look to for advice and mothering hints and what not)!
I get the same feeling as I did when I found out about The Boy, The Girl, The Toddler, and it is so similar to how I felt with my nephews. I do consider myself your children's "almost auntie", and please know that I value them, you, your husband and the future little one... you are always welcome in my home...
You know that I feel that the more people that love my child the better, I just want you to know that I love your children.... present and future.

My birthday is Oct 20, so shoot for that ;) My three siblings all have November birthdays. Consecutive months is much better.

I'm late to the party but not too late to add my very best, most sincere congratulations and my fondest wishes for a healthy, happy, and uneventful pregnancy. Congratulations!

Congratulations, Jordana. Cornett Daughter #3, who arrived 2 mos ago, was not specifically planned, either, but we're pretty happy with her anyway. We've almost decided we're going to keep her.

You know, I completely missed your announcement . . . didn't read for a couple of days, came back to check out how the house-fixing-up was coming along, noticed all the vomit, and didn't scroll down far enough, evidently! Congratulations again!

My husband's birthday is Oct. 15, so I'm rather partial to that day . . .
