And In Other Milestone News

The Middle Girl learned how to buckle her own carseat yesterday! If she can learn to unbuckle it, I'm set.

Or you could wind up like we did one time, and be driving along and suddenly sense the presence of a small smiling child at your elbow, standing there between the front seats to show you how smart she is that she was able to let herself out and come to visit.

It could happen, although I think I've put the fear of God and Mommy into them all over moving freely about the cabin when the vehicle is in motion.

I hate the carseat. Now that Jay's 30 lbs, I'm sorely tempted to use it as a booster seat and free us all from the dreaded harness. Instead, we just don't go anywhere in the car unless Daddy's around to do battle with it.
