This Thing Will Kill You In Your Sleep

The other day I was tired, hungry and craving French fries. I took the kidlets to McDonald's, which since they don't get to go there often, they consider about the biggest treat in the world. We ordered our transfat laden delicious meals and drove home, where we snarfed down the food.

Of course, as with most children, for my kids the toy is just as important to the fast food meal experience as the actual food. The Boy got some little Spy Kids related gadget, or something like that. The Middle Girl got this:

Remember those ugly trolls that people collected in the '80s? They have been revamped (literally) and are back. With big slanty eyes and slutty clothes, they now look like a cross between the trolls of old and Bratz dolls. I wanted none of the above around the house.

As soon as The Middle Girl went to sleep, I snapped a few pictures of the evil slutty troll and hauled her out to the garbage can. Fortunately, The Middle Girl hasn't remembered the existance of the toy which was briefly hers.

Ugh...what will they come up with next?

My girls grandpa has been taking them to McDonalds nearly every Friday night for the last...oh...2 or 3 years. Needless to say, I have to cull the McDonald's toys quite frequently, lol.

That is one of the ugliest kids meal toys I have ever seen in my life... and to think I was saying the other day that the toys were much better than the goofy rocket rubber erasers of yore... I lied!
But thanks for the warning.

I think I can beat that one. Oldest got a birthday present a few years ago that I can only describe as "French Streetwalker Barbie."

Needless to say, that present was not kept.

Blech. Now I know why Catherine wanted the Spy Kids toy instead of that horrid bit of ick when she and Jonathan and I went to McD's the other day.

I just chunked 3 of them today!
(when we go fast food we get 3 times the great girl's toys!)

They do have some sweet toys like the little beanies or the madame alexander dolls but usually it is crap.

Chick Fil A have wonderful learning toys with their kids meals!
Plus their nuggets are SO much better!
