What Would You Wear?

This is really a question primarily for my female readers.

If you realized one day that the size of jeans you have been wearing was slipping down even with a belt on and causing a crack problem but the next smaller size while fastening and not being uncomfortable caused unsightly bulges around the abdomen, which would you wear?

In other words -- what's worse: A crack problem or a muffin top?

I too suffer from this dilemma. I just bought two pairs of jeans that suffer from slippage, but they fit the rest of me just fine. I don't like the muffin top effect, because it makes me feel fat.

I just make sure that my tops are long enough to cover up the muffin top/crack problem. After carrying twins, my tummy is far too scary to be bared.

Crack problem would win with me every time - because a muffin top implies fat and falling pants imples skinny...

I've never had a crack problem, but it sounds delightful!

Crack problem--I've got it today...I just spend an obscene amount of time checking my shirt tail...

Crack problem, long, untucked shirts or sweaters, and no bending/sitting down!

Bigger ones with a belt!

Sweatpants. Overalls.

Or try out Gap curvy jeans or similar.

I'm currently at the in-between preggo pants stage, and am constantly pulling up my descending waistband in what I fervently hope is a discreet manner.

I thought all the kids were showing the vertical smile these days anyway?

I vote for the crack only for one reason - it will keep you out of one of Terry's posts on people wearing clothes inappropriate for their life status. Granted yours would be inadvertent, but best not to tempt fate.

I feel so alone, but I'd much rather look frumpy than venture into b*tt cle*vage, myself.

Congrats on slipping down a size, I say!
