I always got a kick out of it when I was in Europe and people would ask first if I was an American (as was all too obvious, yes) and then if I was from Texas (actually, yes!). NYC and Texas are the two faces of America, apparently. If they only knew.

Daughter Jeana is busy planning their trip to London, and I have quite enjoyed your pictures and comments, so that I can visualize them in situ. It's kind of scary for me to think about all that cold, deep, dark blue water that will be between me and them for all those weeks, but after reading your posts, I know how much they will enjoy it.
