What's Wrong With Your Legs?

During the summer, I almost never wear pantyhose. Other than for church, I almost never have any opportunity to dress up and I just don't like wearing hose when it is hot outside. This Sunday was one of the first cool days we've had this year and I put on a corduroy skirt and hose (as well as a shirt, of course). I was slipping on shoes when my son looked at me and said, "What's wrong with your legs? The skin on them looks funny." I explained that I was wearing pantyhose, which I told him were sort of like the tights his sister wears. I think he was unconvinced that wearing them really added anything good to my outfit.

I hate hose. My arthritic hands really have trouble with the elastic. I'll even go bare-legged in the winter, I hate them so much!

I rarely have any call to wear stockings either... usually only around the christmas party season and then only black. I do wear tights though in the winter if I am wearing a skirt or dress and I like those because they are warm, unlike stockings.

I am one of these people who can not hide how I feel. My face tells it all. And I am so miserable when I wear nylons there is no point in fixing up my face -- it will still read like a book -- miserable. Like it does when my shoes hurt or when someone truly offends me.
