Where'd I Put That Spare $5.4 million?

I checked under the sofa cushions and the mattress, but only found a nickel, so I suppose I won't be able to buy one of my all time favorite houses in Nashville. Really its too far out in the suburbs any way...

It is gorgeous. Maybe you could convince the owners to let you rent the guest quarters? Although with kidlet #4 about to make an appearance, it may be too small.

There are a few restored/renovated coach houses as part of the estates along the lakeshore here...I'd love to get my hands on one, but you need to not only have big bucks just to rent one, but have to be really connected in order to get in. The closest I get to those types of accomodations is my annual tour of the Pabst mansion...

Long, long ago, my older brother was born in the carriage house apartment that went along with a Greene and Greene house in Pasadena. But I bet the rent is a lot higher on one of those now than it was when my parents lived there in the late sixties.

You'd have to hire a nanny to keep track of the kids in THAT much space. And you would totally hate that. I know I keep telling myself that ;)
